Information

These images are from rough models, which are NOT TO SCALE. They are for communicating our requirement and not for detailed planning of work. All shapes and sizes are approximate and, in some cases, are intentionally exaggerated to highlight differences in height or angle.

This garden is a rear garden to the property. The front of the property opens onto a footpath, whereas the rear abuts a highway. There is a hard-stand area of car width across the full width of the rear of the property. That strip runs alongside the public highway and IS part of the property. The rear fence is inside of the property boundary. I mention all this as it may be relevant to planning considerations.

The drive mostly follows the slope of the garden but the garden and path seem a bit more built-up. There is a small bricked bin store beside the garage. Entrance to the garden is via a small gate beside the bin store.

The footpath bends sharply and follows the wall of the bin store. It follows the slope of the lawn but finishes approx 6 inches higher than the gravel 'patio' area. The door into the house is raised by a similar amount.

The garden path does not align with the door into the house. And the gravel 'patio' area between the path and the door is sunken by approx 6 inches.

The drive is to be extended. The bin store should be simplified, leaving only the rear wall which should be extended. The fence should continue to border the lawn area, but will need extending down the lawn to match the new gate, which is now in line with the brick wall.

The slope of the path might no longer match the lawn. A 'bridge' is required to join the end of the path to the door.

The new path and 'bridge' are in line with the existing door, so the path from the extended drive is straight. The lawn to the left of the path is now narrower. The lawn/flower bed to the right of the path is now wider.
